Fun and Family

During the early part of the week, they had all the missionaries go around to the 5 different challenge courses here at camp.  We spent about 3 hours at each course which allowed the missionaries assigned to the course some practical experience so when the YW and campers come, they will know what they are doing.  This log was about 30 feet high and quite hard to climb.

Jan made it 3/4 of the way up before falling of the log because the foot holds where to far apart for her short legs.  I was proud of her for trying and for her gallant effort. She was 1 of only 3 ladies who tried it.

On Saturday the camp held an open house for any one who wished to visit and view the camp.   They estimated over 450 people showed up.  Most were young women leaders who camp to check out where they would be camping this summer.  The weather was cold and rainy, but that didn't dampen peoples spirits.  We were lucky enough to have quite a few friends and family show up also.

The next morning this is what we woke up to.  I thought it was quite beautiful.

This is where the Priesthood brethren get to stay when they arrive.
Some day's the squirrels think we're nuts, but hey, we're havin fun.
